This sustainable whole Khorasan flour is made from Australian-grown Khorasan wheat—an ancient grain celebrated for its rich nutritional profile and naturally sweet, nutty flavour.
Grown sustainably and milled by Wholegrain Milling Co. in Gunnedah, NSW, the flour is gently roller-milled to retain the entire grain, including the bran, germ, and endosperm, preserving its full nutritional value.
The result is a coarse, beige flour flecked with bran, offering a hearty texture and a warm, buttery aroma. High in fibre and protein (minimum 12%), it brings depth and character to baked goods.
While it does contain gluten, Khorasan is often considered easier to digest than modern wheat varieties and is loved for its rich, satisfying taste. Its natural colour and rustic appeal also make it a top choice for traditional and artisan-style baking.
